Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
1. Acceptance
By using Rume (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Rume is a local development tool that provides visual editing for websites you build. It runs on your machine and integrates with your own developer tools, including AI agents you configure.
The locally-running editor is free and open source. Some features (such as hosted history, shareable previews, and collaboration) may be offered as a paid plan.
3. Your data and your code
Your source code stays on your machine. You are solely responsible for the content of your projects and for any code your agents write. You are responsible for backing up your work and for the credentials you plug into the tool.
4. Accounts and paid plans
Paid plans are billed on the stated cadence. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to reverse engineer or misuse the service's hosted components
- Transmit malware or otherwise disrupt the Service
- Misrepresent your identity through the contact system
6. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. You use the tool at your own risk.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue arising from your use of the Service.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
