Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
1. The short version
Rume is a local tool. The editor runs on your machine, binds to loopback, and your source code and secrets never leave it. This policy covers the parts of the product that touch a server: the marketing site, the waitlist, and contact messages.
2. What we collect
We collect only what you choose to give us:
- Waitlist — the email you submit, plus a source tag (e.g. "rume-landing")
- Contact — the name, email, and message you send via the contact form
- Site analytics — standard, anonymous request data where enabled
We do not collect your source code, your local edits, your agent configuration, your API keys, or anything stored in ~/.rume on your machine.
3. How we use it
- To contact you about early access and product updates
- To respond to messages you send us
- To understand rough interest and improve the product
We never sell your personal data.
4. Where it lives
Waitlist and contact data are stored in a hosted Supabase database. It is used only to operate these forms and is not combined with anything local to your machine.
5. Your rights
You can ask us to delete your waitlist or contact data at any time by emailing us. We'll remove it within a reasonable period.
6. Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
